Jhn 10:1-11 - Jesus is the good shepherd
Jesus made lots of I am statements. These were for a reason.
God the Father used the I AM statement - tetragrammaton = YHWH = I AM
Exd 3:7,13-14
The Jews were in Egypt for so long they were more connected to the gods of the Egyptians than to YHWH God.
God said, I have seen, I have heard, and I know.
God told Moses that people will see Him through the way He works in Moses.
God was saying that it was going to be personal between Him and His people.
I AM for you
He wanted to reveal Himself to them in a personal way.
Jhn 8:58 - Jesus said that Abraham was not the father of the pharasees.
Before Abraham was, I AM.
Jesus wants us to be just that personal with us.
God doesn't need fancy prayers - He just wants us to have a personal relationship with us.
Gal 4:6 - Accepting Christ makes us children of God.
We have Him in our hearts. How much closer can He get than being in our hearts? Abba Father - Daddy God.
Jhn 6:35 - I AM the Bread of Life.
People often come to church because of what they are told they can get, rather than having a real relationship.
Jesus gave people what they needed (bread to eat), but Jesus said that HE was the real bread - that which sustains us.
Jhn 8:12 - I AM the light of the world
There is darkness without Jesus - ignorance. Jesus is enlightenment.
Accepting Him gives us enlightenment in our everyday life. He gives us insight.
He shines His light into our minds, giving us understanding.
Psa 119:105 - your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Jhn 11:25 - I AM the resurrection
Jesus waited days before raising Lazarus. People wondered if He cared. But He did this so they would see the glory of God.
If we have Jesus we have resurrection power
Jhn 14:6 - I AM the Way the Truth and the Life
We don't have to figure out how to get to Heaven - Jesus is The Way.
Jhn 15:1 - I AM the True Vine
I Am the vine, you are the branches. We are hooked up with Him, we draw our energy from Him.
A ministry comes from Jesus - He is our source. If we try to do ministry on our own, that ministry will dry up.
People wonder if they are pleasing God, but if they are connected with Jesus, then they are pleasing God.
Prosperity is not measured in dollars and cents, it's measured in what we do in the world for the Kingdom. Witnessing and ministry.
Jhn 10:9 - I AM the Door.
The Door is access to whatever we need from God through Jesus. That's why we pray in Jesus' name.
If He leads us to a place that appears dry, you can bet that it's not really dry.
Eph 2:18 - We have access through 1 spirit to the Father.
I AM the Good Shepherd.
Psa 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd.
It's a close, personal relationship - Jesus is everything we need – I AM the new job, I AM the healing, I AM the finances, I AM the Bread of Life.
